The Role
We’re looking for a Fleet Captain to lead flight operations on one of our most prestigious international programmes.
This is more than simply flying the aircraft. It's an opportunity to lead a fleet, influence operational standards, mentor pilots, shape future capability and represent Draken at the highest levels with both customers and senior stakeholders. As the senior pilot within the Challenger 604 fleet, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, compliant and effective operations whilst setting the tone for professionalism, performance and culture across the team.
Key Responsibilities
As the C604 Fleet Captain, you'll:
Lead the safe delivery of Challenger 604 operations
Act as a Captain and Instructor Pilot, maintaining the highest standards of airmanship and professionalism.
Drive operational excellence, safety performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Champion a strong reporting culture and contribute to the Safety Management System through fleet safety activities and risk management.
Lead, mentor and develop a team of pilots, ensuring training, succession planning and professional development remain at the forefront.
Act as the fleet Subject Matter Expert, supporting programme delivery, technical enhancements and future opportunities.
Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, representing Draken both operationally and professionally.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a leader first and foremost.
Someone who can inspire confidence on the flight deck, engage effectively with customers, develop those around them and uphold the standards expected of a senior representative of Draken. You'll be comfortable balancing operational flying, people leadership and strategic thinking whilst maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety.
You'll be able to demonstrate:
A proven commitment to aviation safety, compliance and operational excellence.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop pilots.
Experience working within complex military and/or government aviation environments.
The confidence to engage effectively with customers, regulators and senior stakeholders.
Sound operational judgement and the ability to make effective decisions in dynamic environments.
A collaborative approach that builds trust, accountability and high-performing teams.
The professionalism and integrity expected of a senior representative of Draken.
Essential experience / skills / qualifications
Hold a valid UK ATPL(A).
Hold a Class 1 medical.
Completed AUPRT course (if required).
Over 1500 flight hours
Completed MCC course
Previous experience within ORT and EW operations
Strong domain knowledge of customer operational requirements and customer platform capabilities
Flight operations in military or government aviation
Desirable
Previous experience in a Fleet Captain, Training Captain or equivalent leadership role.
Suitably qualified and experienced as an C604 pilot
Delivery of contracted Flight Operations
Instructor experience.
Experience operating within both military and civilian aviation environments.
